Rope in Deep Creek Be Aware

Post by Flying_Spaghetti_Monster on Sun 22 Apr 2012, 10:51 am

A throw bag was lost on Deep Creek yesterday. It was below the last waterfall, and the rapids shortly to follow. Hit up Judd Spencer for the exact location. We searched for it, but it sank, and disappeared. I post this not concerned about the rope, but concerned about the safety of other boaters running deep creek. I am nazi about trying to find all ropes, because they can cause entrapment issues. Unfortunately our searches yielded no results. The rope was in the bag when it was lost, but the bag was open. Last I saw the rope was still in the bag sinking to the bottom with any luck it is snagged deep in the water still in the bag. I will be posting in open whitewater as well just to be sure people read it so no one should feel the need to rip me apart.
