Upper Town Provo

Post by RobA on Sun 22 Apr 2012, 9:21 pm

Yesterday I saw a hazard on the Provo upper town run from the path. About 100 yards down from the first bridge there are a couple of root balls that force all the current from far left channel to far right. This wouldn't be so bad but in the middle of the root balls there is a 4" diameter log that juts out perpendicular to the current. Yesterday it was above the water but as the level comes up to something runnable it could be hard to spot because of all the other stuff right there. I'll see if I can get over there on my lunch break to cut it out.

The root ball is just down from the second bridge. I cut out the offending log and cleaned that spot up a bit. I still wouldn't want to be upside down there but it should be quite a bit safer now.
