How about 6PM at the takeout? I am partial to the waterfall stretch since its not bumpy, but we could do the full Narrows if folks want to.

Super fun! Look at that 6PM bump up; just like we ordered :-). I can do 6PM tomorrow, or maybe earlier.
There are so many eddies for eddy hopping..
On Rainbow Gardens the bugs are hatching in the evening! Glasses and a scarf would be helpful.

I've never been up to the Ogden.

What is the river like? Cl 2 - 3 - 4? What are considered minimum - good flows?

I have a river-running playboat (Pyranha Varun), is this type of boat appropriate, or should one be using a river-runner / creeker?

Thanks!

Any thing short of a raft or a squirt boat will get you down the narrows. Really fun Class III+ with Class IV swim consequence. Min flow around 250cfs for a good time, and good flow between 325cfs to about 600cfs. It changes a ton after that.

the new(er) footbridge over the river, by Rainbow Gardens. On the 12th street side has plenty of parking, right on the river.
I thought that felt like 275 this evening!! 271- Awesome level!! Even better when you stay right side up, which I was, mostly alien
That is 271 below Pineview; there has to be a bit of spring runoff still; esp after the last snowstorm; that felt close to 300. ie: super good!

edit; saw your previous post Jessie; I take a creeker since some rock hits are inevitable; solid playboaters like their playboats in there. Its pretty busy/rocky above the wall drop, bruising consequences for being upsidedown more than 5 seconds, or swimming. I use elbow pads, a fullface helmet or cage, and I will probably put some old shoulder pad inserts into my drysuit somehow. took a shoulder hit today, upsidedown for maybe 4 seconds.
The lower half ("demon down", which has the waterfall section) is easier III+ ish; below that is Rainbow Gardens for more forgiving III (the bugs are hatching; a bandanna or even a dust mask is helpful). I can go most evenings after 5 or 6.
