UWC Henry's Fork of the Snake Aug 3-4-5

Post by Jeff Young on Thu 26 Jul 2012, 11:37 pm

The Utah Whitewater Club is hosting a member trip to the Henry's Fork of the Snake Aug 3-4-5

When- Aug 3-4-5
Henry's Fork of the Snake near Ashton ID (and possibly Coffee Pot)
Where- Staying at Dan Cottam's cabin
Who can attend- MEMBERS ONLY (this is due to us using a very very nice cabin owned by Dan)

The cabin is on the corner of E pinehaven drive and Elk lane
Its right across from the river and north of Ashton ID on Hwy 20.

Details- Get there Friday night, paddle Sat and Sun. Dan is providing hotdogs and hamburgers for Sat night but BYOB (for beer and soda)
RESPECT THE HOST. Nuff said.

YOU MUST RSVP TO ATTEND. Respond to either the email you should have gotten or the UWC Facebook page where we will list the event. Joining or renewing prior to the trip is ok, although joining/renewing at the trip is a no-go.
Don't forget your Invasive Species Stickers for ID. You can order them online. We have a few extras left over from the Payettes trip, get with me- $7 each.
This is an awesome trip and puts you in a great area to run Lower Mesa Falls if you are so inclined.

I won't be attending but thought this would be helpful to others going up:

I tried to deduce which run description this part of H's Fork was and guessed this one on americanwhitewater.org since you've said there's access to lower mesa falls.

http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/559/
run title: "lower mesa falls to warm river"

Please correct this if wrong jeff. cheers.

Its actually the section that encompasses Sheep Falls, whichever that might be.. and takes out just (like a couple feet) above Upper Mesa (100'er or so)
