Dear fellow outdoor enthusiasts. The Utah Stream Access Coalition is currently involved in two landmark lawsuits related to waterway access that will be used as a benchmark nationwide. PLEASE- click on the following link and join the USAC...
(ITS FREE TO JOIN!) we need the member numbers to increase the clout. We're up to over 5,000 so help us triple that in anticipation of the upcoming court date in January. Please give me a little "done" here on this thread so we can keep the fire burning! Doesn't matter if you're from Utah, TN or Timbuktoo.. please show your support by signing up for this free membership. Many thanks! http://utahstreamaccess.org/usac-wp/membership/

See above post and sign up for free membership please-

Here are some notes from tonights meeting- The USAC has two lawsuits going on right now, one ref the Weber River access and the other the Provo River acces.. The Weber River lawsuit will make it to court again in Jan and the Provo lawsuit soon thereafter. Both will, if won, solidify our access to rivers and streams within Utah. This is very important to us boaters (of course) and will be used nationwide in helping deal with similar situations. Utah is a relatively new state (114 years old or so) and there is little case law to help decide these type cases. This will change that.

In a effort to bring the fly fishermen together with the boating community, the USAC nominated me for their board last month and I was elected this evening by their membership. This gives us (boaters) an active voice on their board to ensure that our interests are looked after. 2013 will be a big year for our future rights and how landowners effect our use of a public resource.
