Anyone with any update on flows of BV? Was hoping to get some paddling next week after work, and hoping BV might get up to the 500 level predicted before.

Also, I was wanting to take my kids duckying down the stretch above BV. Is there anything that I need to worry about between the big dam up top and the dam that is the usual put-in for BV? Any put-ins / take-outs people would recommend?

Thanks - Wil

bv is super low. from the dam, the normal takeout is vivian park. it's at a good, solid flow right now. beware of the 2 railroad trestles.

Thanks for the info Johnnie. Is it wide enough and have enough water for me to get a raft down, or is it only ducky/kayak doable right now?

my friend, personally, i think it's good to go for a raft. definitely, put in, right below the first trestle(river right) there below the dam.

Gracias de nuevo. Just so I am on the same page as you are, as I'll have some yung'ns with me so I gosta be safe, is the trestle you talk about that I should put-in after about 1/4 mile or so from the dam outlet, and there is a dirt parking lot on river right where some cars are parked in the google maps shot of it? As I don't see any railroad trestles until maybe 2/3 down the run to Vivian.

Thanks again and hope to see you on BV sometime next week.

I think the first train trestle brother johnnie talks about is a car bridge at the put in. Then there a train trestle about 2/3 the way down, can portage on right or float far right as the left seems to collect logs this time of year.

Does anyone know if BV is coming up as planned with a possible 500 level this Wed / Thurs?
