The Devil owns the water

Post by Girth Burley on Mon 22 Nov 2010, 1:29 pm

Gonna' have to be Saturday for me.
Not sure if you know this, but I don't play with my friends in Satan's water, watch TeeVee, urinate, postulate or exfoliate on Sundays. And I sure as shit don't utter the word Browntown until at least after midnight, Monday morning.
Thanks for understanding.

I have clearly misunderstood the meaning of browntown... c-dub referred to the toilets at the grey's river takeout as browntown. I just assumed that is what a browntown was, a toilet. Maybe I didn't understand correctly maybe I did. Maybe I don't want to know. Maybe I shouldn't have posted this. Maybe.... I should just come paddle on Saturday.

Lol... well then that is mildly embarassing. I'm going to never say that again. Wtf was c-dub referring too at the grey's river takeout?

The 2nd book of Girth, Chapter 1, Verse 2

Post by Girth Burley on Tue 23 Nov 2010, 2:56 pm

1. And the Lord spoke unto the people of Prozone: Go unto the land of the Ormonites and greet the women -- and men if that's your thing -- with spices and strong drink.
2. And it came to pass that the chosen people of Prozone went unto the lands of Orom to greet the native peoples.
3. Years of obedient, chaste and silent mingling with these tribes set off decades and centuries of vicious and bloody war, apparently over a misinterpretation of the vile term "browntown."
4. And the Lord chose his prophet, Labenidionfactionfactomoronite, to bring the people together.
5. And the chosen one spoke to the people in tongues, "Yea, the Lord has spoken unto me and ordered that I interpret the word Browntown. Though ye'all are sinners, thou musteth refrain from browntowning on the Sabbath, just as you must cease the practice of usury inside the temple's walls.
6. But yea, if you must choose one habit to drop, drop the former, for taking advantage of your fellow brothers financially will soon be regarded as a holy and celebrated profession.
6. Therefore, go forth and browntown with glee, or violence like hockey players, but only on said weekdays.
As transcribed from the paper plates of Pizza Hut by 2nd Counselor Girth Birley, of the 1st ward of Cisco and surrounding locales.
