Looking ahead for the UWC

Post by Lonny Selin on Tue 07 Dec 2010, 1:32 am

As many of you know, we had a good turn-out at the Layton Wave Pool on November 13th. It was nice and warm and both pumps were working. There were several new faces and our friends from the club in Provo were also in attendance. By virtue of your support and from last years experience, we are trying to do this once a month which will be nice during these cold weeks of winter. Already scheduled for December 11th coming up in less than two weeks. Then again on January 15th. Both Saturdays from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. Members $5 and non-members $10.

On another note, we are looking for someone in the community who would like to chair the Snake River Film Fest for spring. Tim Payne has done this for several years and last year Eric Haslam did a bang up job with help from Tim. Tim has lots of information, contacts, and experience to share to keep this tradition alive and support the Snake River Fund while hosting a fun event for the community. We need someone who believes in the cause and who is responsible and motivated to put in the time required to make it happen.
