Provo River through town is at a low but boat-able-ish flow the past few days. Im not interested but I'm sure someone is...

Doesn't that mean that you can bounce down the Bridal Veil section as well? I think I did it at 143 once. There are just a couple sections that are pure bony.

Been there done that :p unfortunately Bridal Veil stays around 35 cfs during the winter till May, water is diverted around BV for power generation. I did get a good paddle from Provo Canyon to Utah Lake in my packraft on Sunday though. I rode my bike to a take-out near the Provo Harbor and then hiked to Provo Canyon Saturday evening, spent the night sleeping on my raft at the put-in. EPIC self support trip!!! Smile Actually it was a good exercise to prepare myself for the Uintahs this spring. The Provo city run has some fallen trees to portage. You could do a day trip down the Spanish Fork to Utah Lake too, nothing exciting, but it's something different.

I didn't realize the water was diverted around it... silly power company. So where does the water come back in at?

If I'm not mistaken, the water is diverted into the Salt Lake aqua duct where it is piped through the mountain. So to answer your question, flush...

So the water from the Bridal Veil section is being used to flush my toilets?

Both right and both wrong.

Olmstead is used for power and put back in at the mouth. Also is used for Utah Valley drinking water, the plant is on the hill above the cemetery by the month. Not sure that it goes to SLC.

Murdock is shut off for the season and its only used for the canal that dumps into the Jordan river by Lehi. Soon to be a pipe and not a canal.

Sewage is processed by a few plants near Utah Lake which goes to our friends in SLC. New toilet water comes from our drinking water sources.

I've read too much about this shit...

I see. I was going to say... I am willing to lower my needed flushes per day if I can have a once per week free run on BV. Very Happy
