Anyone have a week or three off for an extended trip?

Post by scotticus on Fri 10 Dec 2010, 12:38 am

Got 20 days to burn over Christmas/New Years and will do just about anything to paddle something. I was thinking of spending a week doing the Dirty Devil River Gorge at a 100 cfs, which it seems to be what it has plateaued at. Maybe hit up the Colorado or the Green, or exploring St. George/Zions area while praying for a rain storm to run the Virgin. Anything really, I'd even like to do a two week backpacking or ski trip or something cool over Christmas break. One thing I know, I absolutely can't stay in the city for these three weeks. I have off from the 16th of Dec. through the 4th of January.

See if you can pop on a grand canyon trip. Maybe you will get lucky on mountain buzz. That would be sweet.

I wish, as it turns out I spent my last two cents this month on food for a three week bike tour and backpacking/packrafting trip down either Escalante Canyon or Dirty Devil Gorge. You or anyone is welcome to come with. The bike tour part can be cut out of the itinerary. I'm planning to leave on the 17th.
