Murtaugh yesterday 2/13/2011

Post by PeruH2o on Sun 13 Feb 2011, 3:59 pm

I think the Murtaugh at around 4800 cfs is quality whitewater. Big waves and a few holes that can easily be avoided. You do need a solid roll, though, because hiking out of that canyon would be hard. The canyon is also known for getting windy, so it can get pretty chilly.

This time it was only Chris and I from Utah, but if the weather is as nice at it was yesterday I hope more people join us next time. It's a 3 hour drive from SLC, but I think it's worth it in a warm day.

Can't wait for spring. Hope to see you soon on the river.

Christian

If you use the function the forum has it will fit in the column. You cant do that in the "Quick Reply" box. When you are in the 'Reply' screen there is a little button with a film roll pic on it. Use that.

BTW, that looks really fun. Give me a call next time you go Chris.

Haha, yeah, it's Josh Ritter. One of the best times I've had in a concert was when he performed that song in Boise and everybody in the venue was singing along. That was actually the first time I heard that song. Intense. haha. Another song I like from the same album is "Girl in the war". The album is "The animal years".
