Yampa/White/Green Study

Post by Cap'n RedBeard on Tue 15 Mar 2011, 6:16 pm

Saw this on eddy flower. So Im reposting it here....

Greetings Paddler,

As the recreational representative for the Roundtable, I'm forwarding everyone this link to a flow survey we have partnered with American Whitewater to do in our basin.

Our goal is to have as many respondents to the survey which evaluates flow levels and your paddling experience on many reaches of river in the Yampa/White/Green Basin. We will be incorporating this into our Phase II of the Non-Consumptive Needs Assessment where we are modeling flows for Environmental and Recreational attributes.

This is a similar survey that you may have done for the Upper Colorado River and their wild & scenic review, so you may be familiar with how the survey flows.

Please, we have a just over a month to do this (early April), so if you and as many paddlers who are familiar with these river sections review and take the survey, it would be very helful.

Thank you for helping with this effort and spreading the word to all your paddling friends.

Kent Vertrees

Recreational Representative for the Yampa/White/Green Basin Roundtable

Thanks for posting this Justin. Hope others will take survey as well. We often complain about what's wrong or what's been lost, but don't help much in keeping the flows in our runs. Sleep = No
