Post by Jeff Young on Fri 01 Apr 2011, 9:04 pm

Ok, the wifey wants to warm up on Hentag since she's been off the river for a bit. If anyone wants to join us, we will be at the put in at noon.

I can't believe how gullible some people can be. They don't have 4K to let out, there isn't even that much coming into the dam yet. And the water hadn't even reached the spillway six days ago.

I am expecting a real run, not a super-natural one. I just want to get it done before the weather hits, supposedly about 2-ish.

Interesting they dropped the gauge to under 700. My understanding was they would be releasing that flow, not that itwas coming from lower elevation snow melt. Like Jeff said, either or you should have a great day up there.

Then again, maybe they are testing their ability to turn it down prior to releasing 4k. Was really interested to see how 4k effected the croyden bridge.

The seven of us had a great time. Good level and excellent weather for the first 3/4 of the run, then it got a bit windy and cold. Lots of eddy catching, attaining and surfing fun. Good times!

Alan
There were a couple large logs in the rock garden, but they were avoidable. I believe only one would be an issue for tubers and that one is at the end of the first rock garden and is sitting perpendicular to the current and blocking the center line.
