RW parking lot and trail access open now

Post by wasatchbill on Fri 22 Apr 2011, 7:54 pm

This says: The Weber River Trail is now Open, and its a source of info if there is another closure:

I just went down there on my break; parking lot and trail are open; only 4 kayakers on the wave.

Everyone should click on that link and use the feedback form (you can either be anonymous or leave your name) and give them 'the business' about their actions and how it effects our community. I thanked them for the park, then pointed out how their actions effect us and those that drive from out of state or long distance to use it at this level.

To the poster above who criticized Augie for his interaction with the Fire Chief- Bringing someone to task for overstepping their role and needlessly flexing their administrative muscle is not a bad thing and will (in conflict with your opinion) lead to this NOT happening again. Citizen outcry is a powerful thing and you shouldn't ever fail to point out silly transgressions with the fear that it will bring even sillier transgressions in the future as retaliation.

Augie stepped up to the plate about this. Big thanks to him.
