New Paddler in SLC

Post by MalibuSean on Wed 04 May 2011, 11:26 am

I moved to SLC last fall and I'm excited about my first paddling season in the West, but need some paddling friends. I'm a fairly new paddler, about 2 years. I would describe myself as class III river reading skills, class IV paddling skills (if you tell me where to go), and class V luck...obviously the most important.

Give me a call anytime you need someone to paddle with or will let me tag along. I keep a fairly normal work schedule & can paddle after 5:00 most weekdays and have weekends open.

I'll also be in Ogden today for buisness, but expect that to be wrapped up about 3:00 and will probably run something in the area.

Later,
Sean

Welcome to Utah. Glad you found the forum. I have a friend from the south east that has quite the story about his "welcome to the west" paddle. Laughing

If you want to hit up a fun/classic class III+ section of the Provo River, to warm up, hit me up, phone number is in my profile. The water level is great right now.
Bridal Veil section of the Provo River

Tomorrow would be a great time to meet people. Cinco De Bridal Veil Mayo!!!

Hey man there is a group hitting some of the easier sections of the Ogden Narrows today at 5. You could tag along, and prove your self on some of that. Give me a call at 801-678-9130

Thanks for the offers. I would have taken you up on the narrows today, but was out of pocket until just now. I'm planning to hitting up Bridal Veil tomorrow. Thanks!
