The runnoff is over on the Weber

Post by Augie on Thu 16 Jun 2011, 12:07 am

Echo release just dropped to 554cfs. Yesterday it was 1450cfs. Maybe a moose stepped on the gauge?
On the positive side, the Oakley gauge spiked to 2100 today.

Boy, the Mighty Weeb sure was fun this season, having our very own 'back-yard' big water. Oh well. But this bountiful Wasatch Front run-off season still lives on in the Ogden, SF Ogden, Logan, Upper Bear, and highish water Weeb, etc.
Paddle on, brothers and sisters!!

We might have gotten in the last 3500+ run yesterday. Wish I'd had the camera!
Kinda funny that we think "its over" when the Weber is still higher than it has been in a number of years, and Riverdale wave is still spectacular.

Psych! http://waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/uv?10132000

Any estimates of what it flows will be over the July 4th weekend? Hoping to take some family. Thanks.

it's anyones guess but here is the forecast

http://www.cbrfc.noaa.gov/station/flowplot/flowplot.cgi?ecwu1

the trial lake snotel is experiencing melt rate of 2.6 inches per day and with snow water equivalent, that should be done within 10 days. Chalk Creek is experiencing melt of .8 per day and should be done within 7 days. Rockport is at 72% capacity and should hold most of the trial lake melt. Once Chalk Creek is done, the flows out of Echo should match the flows out of Wanship....

so, like I said it's anyones guess! Smile

Thanks Alan! Looks like a mandatory portage of the Croydon bridge, regardless. Smile
