Joe's Valley Festival?

Post by brightonb on Thu 04 Aug 2011, 6:49 pm

Brighton Bigler
Craig's
post about the Baily event reminded me of a great opportunity close to
home flowing away. Joe's is pissing away around 200 every hour just to
get the level down. I want to gauge the interest about having a weekend
fest in our proverbial back yard. It would take work and combined kayak
community commitment to pull this off. There couldn't be a better year
than this one to make this happen. Anyone interested in getting flows in
the 500+ range at the end of August and a great party/festival to go
with it?

I am willing to help out. Fairly busy right now but I should have some time to make some calls/send some emails. I'm sure others are as well. Get the water to flow and watch the kayakers come!!!
Let me know how I could help out.

I work out of Huntington, UT during the week, and know the area well. I would be willing to help out to see such an event take place! Let me know how I could lend a hand.

Thanks for showing interest so far. I'm going to start some initial attempts at contacting the water people this Monday. I'll try to post progress and/or problems.

Me and a few of my friends would be stoked if this could happen. If there's anything we can do, please... let us know.
Thanks,

Any help and inside info you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Maybe we can get a simple fundraiser for some local need to warm them to the idea. The water lords can be a stingy group.
