Its lonely at OPP

Post by Augie on Tue 20 Sep 2011, 11:24 pm

The last 5 times that I have gone to the park there have been no other boaters there. The only one there today was some Elvis impersonator (I'm not kidding). The level has been between 500-600cfs which is a perfect play level. That level is unheard of at this time of year. The city built us a kayak park but no one wants to be there. Maybe I should keep the secret to myself. Oops-too late. Get some before it turns cold.

I've been there occasionally in the last few weeks or so. It's nice having the whole place to one's self to just dork around and experiment with the features. It seems to be like this every September(for last 2 years, anyways). I've merely been hanging around the Wal-Mart Wave a little more this year cause it's a change of scenery.
