Spoke with Andy today. Anyone been up there? What is the road condition like? Anyone interested in doing a test drive before hand? ETC.. Can head up most any day this week if someone is interested.

I tried to get up to sixth water last Saturday with some buddies. We didn't get much further past the last left turn. It had rained that night and was drizzling then and the mud was pretty much impassible. As long as it doesn't rain for a day or two before I'd say we'll be fine.

Not to be a dick, or anything, but speaking on behalf of the forest service, it'd be nice if people stayed off the dirt roads when they're muddy. Lot's of resources required to fix dirt road ruts. Resources which could go towards improving other services on the forest on an already extremely tight-budgeted goverment agency. A good rule of thumb is "If your leaving tracks, please turn around."

I hope this does happen, I have a good costume planned, btw.

Looks like Andy has "officially" canceled this based on concern over road impassibility.

anyone get down there recently? 38 is actually decent compared to the 29 we had there a couple years ago. Wondering if there are any new issues (piton rocks, wood).
