Sunday paddling - Logan?

Post by wasatchbill on Sun 13 Nov 2011, 12:10 am

Anyone for some low water creeking Sunday? Could elf the Logan from below Monolith thru Woodcamp; probably some IV- below Monolith. Or could stick to the clean III on St Annes and below for a few laps.

Or, anyone paddling down south? Lower 6th water perhaps?

Indeed! Looking at the gauge, 230 is almost double the 41 year mean. Its down to 215 now.
The town section is still rated "Medium", and I see that Nathan recommended the V-wave down to 180. The footbridge drop would be bumpy at this level; I haven't done it this low. Could certainly park-and-play the V-wave though.

The "Main Street Section" is also given a "Medium" now (I hear this is brushy; haven't even looked at it). Might have to check those out. Although I do like the lower Woodcamp stretch we did, with St Annes rapid, and the rock garden between Chokecherry and Card was super clean. Could do a great slalom course there.

Wasn't hard to stay toasty; especially with new toaster mitts.

That rock garden is great for attaining!
